Journey's End

In 2012, JiA was introduced to late Elizabeth Kruger (84) who heeded the call to build a house of stone for the Lord by asking: “Lord, where must your house of stone be built”.

The Lord answered her in a dream, vividly revealing this special place.  When Elizabeth shared her dream with her friend, Gerty Visser (93), she described Journey’s End in marvellous detail.  A piece of land in Klawer, on the banks of the Olifant’s river, which was all too familiar to Gerty.

Journey’s End belonged to her late parents who loved and served the Lord.  She recalls the land to have been soaked in prayer and Kingdom work with testimonies of the Lord’s faithfulness and power.  One living testimony is from Hendrik Boks (95) who gave his life to the Lord and was baptised there in the Olifant’s River on 25 December 1949.

The land features seven huge Joshua Trees (Kokerbome) which was brought from Namibia and planted by Gerty’s father, Dirk Lochner, for each of the parents and the five children.

Gerty Visser decided to give Journey’s End (JE) to JiA for Kingdom work.  The land must be developed for agriculture and the House of the Lord must be built.  JE has since been used for Kingdom work of prayer, camps, discipleship training, rehabilitation and retreats.

The facilities are a special array of five uniquely equipped self-catering containers e.g. Visblik (30 Sleeper), Broodblik (5 Rooms of 5 sleepers), Kosblik (Kitchen), Asblik (Ablutions with toilets and showers), Stoorblik (Caretaker and store room).
