During Pentecost of 2010 the scripture in Luke 16:19-31 of the Rich man and Lazarus inspired believers to serve a cup of soup and bread to the homeless at Brackenfell Train Station.
The Lord gave an open door for ministry in the words of homeless brother, Dawid De Jager, to next time “first bring the Word, and then give us something to eat…” So, the “Church under the Tree” was born that served for 7 years as a soup kitchen outside on the pavement under the trees, where we saw many lives touched and changed.
Dawid was tragically murdered at the station, but his invitation lived on and in 2017 we moved from under the tree to an old dilapidated Railway Goods Shed nearby. The Goods Shed has since been renovated and is now known as, The Lazarus Shed.

Bring second hand clothing to be sorted to size for adults and kids.
