“Pray, then, in this way: Our Father who is in heaven:
We bow before you God in immeasurable wonder of the fact that we may call you “our Father”! We worship you our Father who is in heaven and we thank You Lord for loving us through your grace.
Hallowed be Your name:
- In my own life and testimony, in Your church on earth, in our country and in the desperate lives of the lost. Let your Name be declared holy everywhere through the preaching of your Word. We rejoice with the angels: "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory."
May Your name be glorified in this Cape Peninsula, because you are the great “I Am”;
It is our prayer that all the people in this Peninsula will receive the revelation that you alone are the one true God;
We rebuke any lie that sows doubt and we declare that You are Creator of the heavens and the earth;
We come against the spirit of idolatry in the name of Jesus Christ, whether it is
man-made idols, money, our own self, or anything whatsoever that stands between man and God;
Hallowed be Thy name in this Cape Peninsula. May everyone who hears your Name be filled with awe for you Lord.
`Your kingdom come. Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven:
- Firstly, in my own heart and life. Let me be your believable witness so that I may join in the victory march of your kingdom through the ages.
Our Father in heaven, from the depths of our hearts we desire to see the kingdom of heaven here in this Cape Peninsula;
A land in which the rich reaches out to the poor, where people are healed by Your power, where the hopeless receives new hope, where the jails run empty and the gatherings of the saints expands radically, where Your love and power becomes an everyday reality for everyone to live;
A land in which Your children will boldly praise and worship You from the depths of their hearts like never before.
Father, today we acknowledge our weakness, let Your will be done here in this Cape Peninsula;
We acknowledge that Your will is superior to our plans, let Your heart’s desire come to pass today;
May we be privileged to see Your kingdom come here in the Peninsula and experience it in our communities.
`Give us this day our daily bread:
- Bless us Lord with what we truly need to live. Also bless everyone who is in need over the whole Peninsula: those who are hungry, crippled, sick, depressed, unemployed, vulnerable, destitute and seeking Your love.
Provide to your children from your abundant goodness Your presence, power and love;
We pray that You will provide for those who do not yet know you, may they come to faith in You through Your love and provision;
We praise You for Your faithfulness and grace;
We are thankful that You are always faithful and that You are the Truth.
`And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors:
- Those transgressions we are aware of and those we are not aware of.
Those committed on purpose and those committed not so. As You forgive us, Lord, help us to forgive those who have harmed us.
We thank You for Your indescribable love;
We thank You Lord for Your immeasurable grace You bestowed upon us;
Forgive us for every unrighteous deed done against You in the past and the future by
the people of this Cape Peninsula;
Father, please do not let Your wroth flame-up against us;
We pray that You will be gracious towards us;
Do not keep the sins of our forefathers against us;
Do not keep the selfishness of Your children against us;
Father we forgive those who sin against us and we pray that Your name be glorified.
`And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
- We are surrounded daily with temptations. Keep us standing, Lord, through your great love and grace and let us live on your ground of victory.
Father we are but weak and small, protect this Peninsula against the attacks of the enemy;
Do not allow temptation to enter the gates of our beautiful Peninsula;
In the name of Jesus Christ, we lock the gates and doors of the Peninsula today against evil from entering;
In the name of Jesus Christ, we open the gates and doors for evil to exit and to be cast in the sea;
In the name of Jesus Christ, we open the gates and doors for your love to stream into our Peninsula and for You to dine with us, and we with You;
We thank You for never leaving us alone;
Everyday You release and strengthen us to remain standing.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever:
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are Your judgments and unfathomable Your ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became Your counsellor? Or who has first given to You that it might be paid back to him again? For from You and through You and to You are all things. To You be the glory forever (Romans 11:33-36).
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour! Jesus Christ, You humbled Yourself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted You, and bestowed on You the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
